Actelion Awarded the prix Hermes de l'innovation

Actelion today announced that the company will receive this year's Prix Hermès de l'Innovation in the category "amélioration de la condition humaine" (improvement in the conditions of human life).

 The European Institute for Creative Strategies and Innovation awards the Prix Hermès annually to selected institutions and companies in recognition of their outstanding innovative achievements in different areas of life. It includes a total of eight different categories. The award ceremony will take place in Paris on April 19th.

 

Actelion receives the Prix Hermès for its extensive innovative research work for improving the quality of life of patients. In particular, the Prize recognizes Actelion's commitment to improve treatment of children with rare diseases, especially in pulmonary arterial hypertension.

 

Marc Giget, founder and scientific director of the European Institute for Creative Strategies and Innovation, explained that "Actelion is being awarded the prize in the category "Improvement in the conditions of life" in recognition of its overall innovative achievements as a leading company in the biotech sector. Since it was founded, Actelion has remained true to its corporate philosophy and now markets four medicines with which a great many patients have been helped."
