academia AG wins Young Entrepreneurs’ Prize

North-West Switzerland’s Young Entrepreneurs’ Prize for 2008 was awarded for the first time on 18 November 2008: the winner was Thomas Marti of academia AG, the Language and Learning Centre in Basel (www.academia-basel.ch).

The award ceremony took place at the SCALA Theater in Basel before 400 invited guests.

 

Runners-up were break-through AG from Basel (www.break-through.ch), Mino Engineering AG from Muttenz (www.mino-engineering.ch), Memorems Services AG from Basel (www.memorems.ch) and Language Direct GmbH from Basel (www.languagedirect.net).

 

All finalists impressed the jury with their lively, innovative and highly promising concepts.

Altogether about 40 start-ups competed for the prize.
