Switzerland, France and EuroAirport sign an agreement on labor laws at EuroAirport

At an official ceremony, representatives of France, Switzerland and EuroAirport signed an agreement on labour laws in the Swiss sector and the shared sector of the airport.

The signatories included Didier Burkhalter, Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Christoph Brutschin, Government Councillor and Head of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of Canton Basel-Stadt and Peter Zwick, Government Councillor of Canton Baselland and Head of the Department of Economic Affairs and Health.

The management of EuroAirport is delighted with this agreement, which marks a significant milestone in the cooperation between the two states. The agreement provides Swiss companies in the Swiss sector and the shared sector of the airport with a basic framework for labour laws. This will now be implemented by the companies.

Thanks to this agreement, Swiss companies can continue their activities on the airport platform with greater certainty of law and can contribute to the sustainable development of the airport.

Today there are more than 6000 jobs on the airport platform, which makes EuroAirport one of the largest employers in the region.
